| After my hysterectomy and one year on the 'natural' drug Cenestin I lost 7% of my bone mass. I was told that was also 'natural'. Found out Cenestin was idential to Premarin (pregnant horse's urine)except they just added some yam and touted it as 'natural'. I was lied to by my doctor who thought my body was exactly like everyone elses. I discovered bio-identical hormones three years ago, have them compounded for my individual needs, and have never felt better. I also regained my 7% lost bone mass. The research I have read is overwhelming. I am not a horse and it's hormones are too strong for a human. When will the drug companies stop looking at profits and start doing what is right. I bet their mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters would love to be healthier if they were only given ALL the information to make an informed decision instead of supporting a flawed design. Not every drug is right for every person and every situation. Less is better, bio-identical means just that. I have enough artificial additives in my system thanks to the FDA - I'd prefer not to add more and get rid of the ones I have. To block my right to have the correct substances for my body type just because their pocket book is threatened is outrageous! I have seen 'miracles' occur because a woman decided to check for herself after having terrible problems on mainstread drugs. When will the medical community wake up? When will my US government wake up and truly protect us from this type of corruption? I use and will continue to use bio-identical hormones for the health of my body and I dare the drug companies to wrest that from my hands!
