Daily Antioxidant Recommendations
The latest Dietary Reference Intake recommendations for several antioxidants by the National Academy of Sciences:
Vitamin C
- Old recommendation: 60 milligrams for men and women
- New recommendation: 90 milligrams for men and 75 milligrams for women
Vitamin E
- Old recommendation: 10 milligrams for men and 8 milligrams for women
- New recommendation: 15 milligrams for men and women
Selenium
- Old recommendation: 70 milligrams for men and 55 milligrams for women
- New recommendation: 55 milligrams for men and women
