Identification and Brief Summary of Credentials of Peer Reviewers

The Peer Reviewers were selected for their extensive and well-recognized experience and expertise in the areas of toxicology, animal science, and reproductive physiology. The three Peer Reviewers are presented in alphabetical order:

Dr. Arthur L. Craigmill, Ph.D.
Department of Environmental Toxicology
University of California

Dr. Craigmill holds Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Minnesota, and has served as a member of the American Board of Toxicology. Dr. Craigmill has published numerous papers on a wide variety of topics in toxicology. He is currently the chair of CVM’s Veterinary Medicine Advisory Committee and has served as a member since August 27, 2003. He is currently a toxicology specialist with the University of California Cooperative Extension Service.

Dr. Carol L. Keefer, Ph.D.
Department of Animal and Avian Sciences
University of Maryland

Dr. Keefer holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware. Dr. Keefer is a past-president of the International Embryo Transfer Society (IETS), and serves on the editorial board of the journal Cloning and Stem Cells. She has published numerous papers in the areas of embryology, reproductive physiology, and assisted reproductive technology, including animal cloning. She is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences at the University of Maryland.

Dr. Matthew B. Wheeler, Ph.D.
Department of Animal Sciences
University of Illinois

Dr. Wheeler received a Ph.D. from the Physiology and Biophysics/ Cell and Molecular Biology Program from Colorado State University. He is also a past-president of IETS. Dr. Wheeler has published numerous papers and book chapters on molecular biology, reproductive physiology, embryology, and transgenic animals. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois.
