In Fiscal Year (FY) 2000, FDA funded four (4) new cooperative agreements under the President's Food Safety Initiative. These projects may be funded for up to three years depending on progress and the availability of funds.

• Antimicrobial resistance of Salmonella isolated from swine

• Livestock feeds as a means of dissemination of antimicrobial resistant organisms and genes
