Ways to Obtain information on American Society for Testing and Materials Standards for Development for Tissue Engineered Medical Products Standards

Meetings:

• Working copies of standards (limited numbers) will be made available by the task group chairs for use at Committee F-04 Division IV Tissue Engineered Medical Products task groups meetings.

• Visit http://www.astm.org to search for titles and scope via key word or ASTM number designation.

• Task group members can get access to their task groups (via their task group chair) at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/astmtemps for input into the development of draft standards.

• Information on the latest developments in draft standards may be available online at http://lindacuster.com/newtemps/

• ASTM publishes books of standards which are available at various technical libraries. ASTM committee members of ASTM are provided one volume of their choice per year for their own personal use. Choose your volumes carefully to build your library. Volume 13.01 is the most pertinent volume for Division IV to date as all F04 standards are published annually in September in Volume 13.01.

• Individual standards can be purchased from ASTM ( (PRICES VARY BASED ON SIZE OF STANDARD RANGE IS GENERALLY $12.00 TO $35.00 each) via orders through ASTM customer sales and service at 610-832-9585 or online at www.astm.org. Select "ASTM general store". You may also purchase a license to download ASTM standards online. See ASTM web site (www.astm.org) and select "New! Online subscriptions to standards now available!".

• Center for Devices and Radiological Health has purchased CD Rom rights. All standards are available for search and PDF download at staffs’ desktop. Distribution is limited to CDRH employees only.

• Developing drafts of standards can be obtained from the task group chairs of Division IV and other Divisions of F-04 by request.

• Newly balloted approved standards are announced and listed in the ASTM monthly publication "Standardization News", which is sent to each ASTM member.

• If you are a subcommittee and committee member, you will receive copies of the drafts as they are sent to subcommittee and main committee ballot and have an opportunity to influence the development of the draft standards.

• Task group chairs may request, from ASTM Staff Manager for F04, limited numbers of published standards related to the standards that they are developing.

• Standards to be used as examples of the type of standard to be developed may be obtained from Staff Manager by members of the task groups.
