Staff Fellows

Purpose Staff Fellowships provide a flexible mechanism for the temporary employment and professional development of promising research scientists as well as an alternative employment mechanism to secure services of proven talented scientists for a period of limited duration. Staff fellows are appointed in the Excepted Services.
Program Description A staff fellowship is intended to encourage and promote research/regulatory review, studies, and investigations related to health. Related health areas include: medical, physical, biological, mathematical, social (economic and other) biometric, epidemiological, behavioral, and computer sciences directly related to the mission of the Agency.
Duration Initial appointments are for varying periods for up to 5 years and may be extended for varying periods not in excess of 5 years for each period.
