The agency-wide reorganization that led to the creation of the Bureau of Medicine
also established the Bureau of Biological and Physical Sciences, formed by grouping the
seven scientific Divisions in FDA. These Divisions, including Pharmacology and
Antibiotics, were engaged in various projects, both food- and drug-related (e.g.,
development of methods to improve analysis and specifications for insulin and certifiable
antibiotics.) |
