A two-year postdoctoral position is available to study MBL (monoclonal B cell lymphocytosis), the precursor cell in common and familial CLL. The laboratory is focused on identifying the molecular lesions of CLL using a combination of quantitative multicolor flow cytometry and molecular techniques. The laboratory also tests calibrations standards for instrument validation and quantification of multi-color flow cytometry. Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D., and preferably fewer than five years of postdoctoral experience. Expertise in flow cytometry, molecular or cellular biology is required. Previous work with B cells is desirable but not necessary. Our laboratory is located on the Bethesda campus of the National Institutes of Health, in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Non-U.S. citizens must currently hold a valid U.S. work visa or be eligible for a J-1 training visa.
