Directs federal Hemophilia Treatment Center network of 95 subspecialists who provide diagnosis and treatment services to 4000 individuals with rare bleeding disorders at 15 hospitals in California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Guam. Oversees all programmatic and fiscal operations of two federal grants funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Coordinates public health and research programs to prevent hemophilia complications and to promote comprehensive medical care services.
