DHRD will serve as the focal point of ORAU, both within FDA and with interested parties outside of FDA. DHRD will provide leadership and manage the development and delivery of the training courses and activities. We will collaborate with others as appropriate in the development of new courses and in the reformatting of courses previously developed by FDA or other agencies or organizations.
Employees and supervisors can help maximize the benefits from ORAU by following these suggestions:
Discuss learning needs regularly and jointly decide on which courses to take and when to take them.
Schedule e-learning just as you would if it were a traditional classroom course.
Help avoid interruptions by allowing the use of a computer in a designated e-learning computer lab or by posting a "Student in Training" note at the student's office door or work cubicle.
- Demonstrate by example the importance of training to your organization.
Encourage students to seek help if needed. Contacts for technical, content-related, and administrative areas are listed on ORAU's "Contact Us" page.
Note: The Internet and Intranet versions of ORAU are NOT identical. If you are an FDA employee and access the ORAU web site from your home via an Internet connection, you may not have access to all of the information available through the FDA Intranet version of ORAU.
