FDA recently published a notice in the Federal Register requesting nominations for voting members to serve on the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC). In conjunction, FDA also published a separate document announcing the request for nominations for nonvoting industry representatives of the TPSAC. A nominee may either be self-nominated or nominated by a person or organization to serve as a voting or nonvoting industry member. The open nomination period closes for nonvoting representatives on November 24, 2013 and for voting members on December 28, 2013.
