Program Capabilities
DET-DO Laboratory is equipped with the usual instrumentation necessary to perform a wide range of analyses of food, drugs and cosmetics. Program work includes drug analysis, food and color additives, Department of Defense (DOD) Shelf Life Extension Program, and environmental microbial testing.
ORA Laboratory - Detroit 2Specialized Capabilities
DET-DO Laboratory has specialized analytical capabilities in the areas of drug analysis, dissolution testing, method development using UHPLC, illegal and counterfeit drug testing, dietary supplements and drug stability testing. Detroit is one of three field laboratories supporting the DOD Shelf Life Extension Program, which has saved the government more than $100 million over the past several years.
DET-DO Laboratory serves as a High Throughput Laboratory for testing microbial environmental samples. This laboratory began testing in June of 2010, and screens environmental samples from food manufacturers for Salmonella and Listeria.
