Le Bon Patissiere Products That Contain Undeclared Allergens

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 5, 2010 -Le Bon Patissier of La Crescenta, CA is conducting a voluntary recall on the following Le Bon Patissier Products because they contain undeclared allergens. People who have an allergen or severe sensitivity to wheat, egg, pistachios, walnuts, or milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled products were distributed to Southern California markets.

The product comes packaged in clear plastic snap containers with red, white, and blue labels and was distributed from 03/16/2011 – 03/26/2011.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that products containing allergens were distributed in packaging that did not declare the presence of the allergens.

Since the discovery of the issue we have ordered new labels identifying all allergens and are being used on all currently outgoing products.  

This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the United States Food & Drug Administration.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for full refund.
