Cumberland Farms Recalls Honey Roasted Peanuts And Hole In One Snack Mix Because Of Possible Health Risk

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- Canton, MA -- February 13, 2009 --- Cumberland Farms, Inc. of Canton, Massachusetts is voluntarily recalling Cumby's Snacks Honey Roasted Peanuts and Hole In One Snack Mix, because they may contain peanuts that have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella. The precautionary move follows a nationwide recall issued by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) the supplier of the Honey Roasted Peanuts.
The Honey Roasted Peanuts and Hole In One Snack Mix were distributed to all Cumberland Farms retail stores in MA, RI, NY, CT, NH, ME, NJ, VT, PA, and DE, and sold to consumers in a 3 oz. and 8oz., peg bag package.
This product recall includes all:
Product Name and Description: Cumby's Snacks Honey Roasted Peanuts UPC# 042704-80081 Produced in 3 oz. bags.
Product Name and Description: Cumby's Snacks Hole In One Snack Mix UPC# 042704-00851 Produced in 8 oz. bags.
Customers who have purchased these Cumby's Snacks products are urged to return them to any Cumberland Farms store for a full refund.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these products.
