FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- April 3, 2007 -- New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker today warned sulfite sensitive consumers and asthmatics to avoid consuming "Energy Club brand Healthy California Mix" due to the presence of undeclared sulfites in the product.

The product was sold by 86th Meat, 2807 86th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11223. According to the product label, the "Energy Club brand Healthy California Mix" was distributed by ECI, Pacoima, California 91331. The "Energy Club brand Healthy California Mix" is packaged in a 4 ounce plastic bag coded 11 21 07. According to the label, it is a product of USA, India, Vietnam, or Brazil and packed in the USA.
