April 28, 1999, Teleconference and Regional Meetings
On April 28, 1999, FDA held public meetings and an interactive satellite teleconference/webcast [31K pdf file] titled "Talking with Stakeholders About FDA Modernization." The purpose of the meetings was to discuss the agency's progress in implementing FDAMA and to seek additional input on specific FDAMA performance targets.
The teleconference featured Jane E. Henney, Commissioner of Food and Drugs, and Linda A. Suydam, Associate Commissioner for Strategic Management. The meetings were held in several locations throughout the country and were open to all stakeholders. They were co-hosted by FDA's field offices and centers.
