Can a facility designate more than one quality control technologist at a time?

While the regulations allow a facility to designate more than one quality control technologist at a time, FDA recommends that this option be used sparingly. Having a single quality control technologist who has overall responsibility for the portions of the quality assurance program not assigned to the lead interpreting physician or medical physicist generally allows for better management of the system.
