900.2(a) Accreditation body or body means an entity that has been approved by FDA under section 900.3(d) to accredit mammography facilities.

Currently, the FDA-approved accreditation bodies are:
American College of Radiology (ACR)
- State of Arkansas
- State of Iowa
- State of Texas
Currently, the state accreditation bodies may accredit only those facilities that are located in their respective states.
