Overview of U.S. FDA’s Import Program, April 2013

The Office of International Logo Promoting and Protecting Public Health

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA), Office of International Programs, Asia-Pacific Office will host its first educational forum on FDA’s Import Program. This forum is intended for officials representing the embassies, consulates and trade missions supporting the Asia-Pacific region in the United States. The material and presentations will be given in English and will focus on the following objectives:

  • To describe FDA’s Import Program  
  • To provide an overview of FDA’s import process and how FDA and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection work together to implement the import laws and regulations  
  • To navigate the FDA webpage for information on imports and registration and listing programs.
