International Programs
International Visitors
While many of FDA’s activities are conducted around the world, many take place here at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) facilities at White Oak or Rockville, Maryland. An essential part of this work involves hosting, briefing, and exchanging information with regulators, public health officials and scientists from other countries who visit FDA headquarters to learn about our organization and programs. During Fiscal Year 2008, the Office of International Programs hosted 929 foreign visitors representing 259 delegations. A total of 83 countries and regional organizations sent representatives to the FDA.
