FDA's activities in China include several broad categories:

• Collaboration, capacity-building and confidence-building with its counterparts, the State Food and Drug Administration and the General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. 
• Working with regulated industries that wish to export their products to the United States to ensure they understand FDA standards. 
• Monitoring and reporting on conditions and events that affect the safety and quality of FDA-regulated Chinese products exported to the United States. 
• Conducting inspections at facilities that manufactured FDA-regulated goods.
