Small Amount of Gerber Infant Formula Stolen

Gerber Products Company is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Office of Criminal Investigations (OCI) and other law enforcement officials to recover 1,040 cases of 1 lot of 12 oz. Gerber® Gentle Plus® infant formula powder that were stolen from a truck in Dalton, Georgia on August 19, 2010.  The lot code of the product is 0GGP1470 and the USE BY date is 14 FEB 2012, both of which are printed on the bottom of the can.


Consumers should purchase Gerber products from well established and reputable retailers.  If consumers purchase Gerber products from other sources, they should inspect the product and label for signs of tampering before opening the product.  Gerber infant formula products are packaged in “tamper-evident” hermetically sealed cans, meaning that if the package has been opened, it will be evident to the consumer.  Consumers who have any questions regarding Gerber products may contact us at 1-800 4 GERBER.
