March 13, 2010: Notification of Stolen Mead Johnson Products

March 13, 2010:  Mead Johnson Nutrition is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Office of Criminal Investigations (FDA), and other law enforcement officials to recover cases of infant formula products that were stolen from a truck stop in Richwood, Kentucky, on March 13, 2010.  The list of products stolen is attached.

Not all cases with the indicated batch numbers were in the stolen shipment, and some have been safely delivered from Mead Johnson to retailers, wholesalers or institutions.

Consumers should purchase Mead Johnson products only from well established and reputable retailers. Mead Johnson recommends that consumers always inspect the product and label for signs of tampering before opening. Mead Johnson infant formula products are packaged in “tamper-evident” cans, meaning that if the package has been opened, it will be evident to the consumers.

Retailers, wholesalers and institutions who receive their product directly from Mead Johnson are not affected by this notification.
