Stolen Pharmaceutical Products from GlaxoSmithKline - Addendum

GlaxoSmithKline experienced a cargo theft at approximately 7:30 AM on Friday, January 29, 2010, in the Bayamon district of Puerto Rico.  Two armed men overpowered the vehicle driver and hijacked a portion of the load containing GSK Pharmaceuticals that was in transit from the Contract Distribution Center, Cesar Castillo.  GSK is working with U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Office of Criminal Investigations and the Atlanta District Office (FDA), and other law enforcement officials to recover the product that was stolen.

In addition to the prescription products listed above, certain lots of retail-ready consumer healthcare products were also involved in the theft.  The products stolen were full cases of a wide variety of products, including Tums antacid, Sensodyne toothpaste and Poligrip Denture Adhesive and Ecotrin aspirin.
