Center for Tobacco Products - Instructions for Registration and Submission
On June 22nd, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (FSPTCA). This historic legislation grants authority to regulate tobacco products to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Section 905 of this act sets forth statutory requirements to submit tobacco product registration and listing information to FDA.
The FDA’s Electronic Submissions Gateway (ESG) can be used to electronically transmit documents to CTP if they have been packaged using the eSubmitter tool. If a document not packaged by eSubmitter is sent via the ESG, the system should notify you that the submission is invalid; it will not be received by CTP.
