Andre Muelenaer, Jr., M.D., M.S., and Al Wicks, Ph.D. lead the Pediatric Medical Device Institute in Roanoke, Virginia.

From 2010 to 2013, the Pediatric Medical Device Institute (PMDI) partnered with the Michigan Pediatric Device Consortium as a subcontractor on their grant. Since that time, PMDI has continued to function independently.
