Tressa Madden is a Consumer Safety Officer for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration working in the Office of Partnerships. She is focusing on assisting the states with the implementation of the Manufactured Food Regulatory Program Standards. She has a Masters of Public Health for the University of Oklahoma in Environmental Management and is a Registered Environmental Specialist through NEHA and her home state of Oklahoma.

Prior to working for FDA Ms. Madden was employed as the Director of Consumer Protection Division at the Oklahoma State Department of Health for 24 years where she was responsible for supervising a multifunctional program in the Consumer Health Division that include, local restaurants, hotel/motel, swimming pools, complaints, nuisances, rabies prevention, mobile, seasonal and special events that are handled from each county. Programs that are handled from the state level include, Consumer Product Safety Commission, bedding, body piercing/tattooing, bottled water, drugs, medical devices, health fraud, food manufacturing, wholesale foods, salvage foods, water vending, medical micropigmentation, and Department of Corrections Facility inspections.

Professional Organizations include: Oklahoma Public Health Association having served as Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Councilor, and Section Chair; Oklahoma Society of Environmental Health Professionals having served as President, President-Elect, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Regional Delegate and currently serving as Past-President; Mid-Continent Association of Food and Drug Officials, having served President, Vice-President and Member at Large; Member of the National Environmental Health Association; and Member of the Association of Food and Drug Officials. She has become a Fellow of the Class of 2005 Oklahoma Public Health Leadership Institute and she is a Fellow of the Class of 2008, Cohort III, of the CDC/Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute.
