Lactose Broth

Beef extract 3 g
Peptone 5 g
Lactose 5 g
Distilled water 1 liter

 

Dispense 225 ml portions into 500 ml Erlenmeyer flasks. After autoclaving 15 min at 121°C and just before use, aseptically adjust volume to 225 ml. Final pH, 6.9 ± 0.2.
