Phosphate-Buffered Saline (PBS), pH 7.4
| NaCl | 7.650 g |
| Na2HPO4, anhydrous | 0.724 g |
| KH2PO4 | 0.210 g |
| Distilled water | 1 liter |
Dissolve ingredients in distilled water. Adjust pH to 7.4 (with 1 N NaOH). Autoclave 15 min at 121°C. This buffer may be used for any step in the Vibrio spp. methods when PBS is needed.
