Finding of No Significant Impact
Finding of No Significant Impact
A food-contact notification (FCN No. 1064), submitted by Selenis Canada, to provide for the safe use of Polyethyleneterephthalate copolyesters (diethylene glycol-isophthalate modified) for use as films or articles intended for contact with aqueous, acidic, low-alcohol, dry, and fatty foods.
The Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and, therefore, will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information, including an environmental assessment, dated December 21, 2010, in the notification submitted by the notifier, and other information known to the agency.
