Finding of No Significant Impact

A food-contact notification (FCN No. 1021), submitted by Ecolab, Inc., to provide for the safe use of polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monooleate as an emulsifier for wash solutions intended for raw and processed fruits and vegetables when used in restaurants, cafeterias, food service operations, commercial kitchens, commissaries, grocery stores, and other food processing facilities.

The Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and, therefore, will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information, including an environmental assessment, dated July 26, 2010, in the notification submitted by the notifier, and other information known to the agency.
