Finding of No Significant Impact

A Premarket Notification (FCN No. 000051), submitted by Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation, to provide for the safe use of phosphorous acid, bis[2,4-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-6-methylphenyl]ethyl ester as a process stabilizer in olefin polymers.

The Chemistry and Environmental Review Team and the Environmental Review Team have determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on an environmental assessment prepared by a scientist on the Chemistry and Environmental Review Team.
