Finding of No Significant Impact

Finding of No Significant Impact

A food contact notification (FCN No. 945), submitted by The Dow Chemical Company, to provide for the safe use of fatty acids, C16-18 and C18-unsaturated, methyl esters, hydroformylation products, hydrogenated, as a monomer for polyol ester polymers for production of polyurethane adhesives complying with 21 CFR 175.105.

The Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and, therefore, will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information in the notification, including an environmental assessment, dated October 12, 2009, submitted by the notifier and other information known to the agency.
