Finding of No Significant Impact

Finding of No Significant Impact

A food contact notification (FCN No. 851), submitted by M&G Polymers, USA, to provide for the safe use of hexanedioic acid, polymer with 1,3-benzenedimethanamine in conjunction with up to 0.015 weight percent cobalt neodecanoate as a modifier of ethylene phthalate polymers, which may be used in the manufacture of food contact containers, except for carbonated soft drinks and water.

The Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information submitted by the notifier in the notification, including an environmental assessment, dated August 9, 2008.
