Finding of No Significant Impact

Finding of No Significant Impact

A food contact notification (FCN No. 850), submitted by Zeon Corporation, for the use of 1,3-butadiene, 2-methyl-, homopolymer, of cis-1,4-configuration, cyclized containing optionally 2,2’-methylenebis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenyl) octylphosphite as a modifier in food contact materials fabricated from ethylene-vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) complying with 21 CFR 177.1360(a)(3).

The Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information submitted by the notifier in the notification, including an environmental assessment, dated August 28, 2008.
