Attached is the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for this food contact notification. When the notification becomes effective, this FONSI and the notifier's July 31, 2003, environmental assessment may be made available to the public.

Finding of No Significant Impact

A food contact notification (FCN No. 362), submitted by GE Plastics, to provide for the safe use of siloxanes and silicones, di methyl, 3 (4 hydroxy 3 methoxyphenyl)propyl group terminated, polymers with bisphenol A, carbonic dichloride and 4 (1 methyl 1 phenylethyl)phenol for use in blends with polycarbonate as a polycarbonate resin in articles intended for single and repeat use food-contact applications.

The Environmental Review Group has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information submitted by the notifier in an environmental assessment dated July 31, 2003.
