Finding of No Significant Impact

Premarket notification FCN No. 179, submitted by Eastman Chemical Company, to provide for the safe use of copolymers and polymers made from the reaction of dimethyl terephthalate or terephthalic acid with a mixture containing 99 to 0 mole percent ethylene glycol and 1 to 100 mole percent of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol.

The Environmental Review Group has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information submitted by the notifier in an environmental assessment and in confidential parts of the notification.
