Finding of No Significant Impact

Premarket notification FCN No. 132, submitted by Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation, to provide for the safe use of a red colorant, Quino[2,3-b]acridine-7,14-dione,4,11-dichloro-5,12-dihydro-, in all types of food-contact polymers.

The Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information submitted by the notifier in an environmental assessment dated Jan.15, 2001.
