Finding of No Significant Impact

A Premarket Notification (FCN 000098), submitted by Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation, to provide for the safe use of 2-propenoic acid, 2-methyl, monoester with 1,2-propanediol, polymer with methyl 2-propenoate, 2-propenoic acid and sodium 2-propenoate as a fluid absorbent in food-contact materials.

 

 

The Chemistry and Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information submitted by the notifier in an Environmental Assessment.
