Finding of No Significant Impact
A Premarket Notification (FCN No. 000071), submitted by Harlow Chemical Company, Ltd., to provide for the safe use of crotonic acid as a modifier in the production of partially hydrolyzed, modified polyvinyl alcohol for use as a secondary stabilizer in the suspension polymerization of polyvinyl chloride that will contact food.
The Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on information submitted by the notifier in an environmental assessment dated April 26, 2000.
