Finding of No Significant Impact

A Premarket Notification (FCN No. 000059), submitted by Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation, to provide for the safe use of Glycine, N, N-bis[2-hydroxy-3-(2-propenyloxy) propyl]-, monosodium salt, reaction products with ammonium hydroxide and pentafluoroiodoethane-tetrafluoroethylene telomer (CAS Reg. No. 220459-70-1) as an oil and water repellant for paper and paperboard complying with 21 CFR Part 176.170(a)(5).

The Chemistry and Environmental Review Team has determined that allowing this notification to become effective will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment and therefore will not require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This finding is based on an environmental assessment prepared by the notifier.
