SUBJECT: Removal Of The Listing Of Certified Industry Supervisors On The Interstate Milk Shippers List
As the result of the passage of Proposal 218 at the 2013 NCIMS Conference held in Indianapolis, IN the listed names of certified industry supervisors (CISs) on the Interstate Milk Shippers (IMS) List are being removed. The official list of CISs, industry supervisors (ISs) and industry analysts (IAs) approved to conduct official bulk milk tanker drug testing will be maintained and made available through the individual laboratory evaluation officers (LEOs) or in a manner designated by the Laboratory Control Agency.
The current CIS listing on the IMS List should be removed no later than June 1, 2014.
An electronic version of this memorandum is available for distribution to Regional Milk Specialists, Milk Regulatory/Rating Agencies, Laboratory Evaluation Officers and Milk Sanitation Rating Officers in your region. The electronic version should be widely distributed to representatives of the dairy industry and other interested parties and also will be available on the FDA web site at http://www.fda.gov at a later date.
