SUBJECT: Milk and Milk Product Equipment - A Guide for Evaluating Construction
Under separate cover the above document has been sent to each region. It is intended that these be distributed to State regulators and other interested parties. This Memorandum also serves as notice that the State/ FDA cooperative system for reviewing equipment described in this guideline may be implemented immediately.
Introductory training in the use of this guideline was provided at regional seminars last fall and will be included in those to be held this spring and summer. More detailed training regarding the use of this guideline will be included in current and future training courses as appropriate.
Additional copies of this memorandum are also enclosed for your distribution to Regional Milk Specialists, State milk regulatory agencies and State Milk Rating Officers in your region. This memorandum and Milk and Milk Product Equipment - A Guide for Evaluating Construction are available on the FDA Web Site at http://www.fda.gov and should be widely distributed to representatives of the dairy industry and other interested parties.
