SUBJECT: Waukesha Cherry-Burrell W262 and W282 Flow Diversion Device (1”, 1 ½”, 2” and 2 ½”) With High Pressure Adapter
This memorandum is a supplement to M-b-213 (Cherry Burrell Flow Diversion Device Model Numbers 262-FD and 292-FD), issued December 23, 1977 and provides for the addition of a high pressure clamp to the W262 and W282 Flow Diversion Device.
In accordance with M-I-00-2, Milk and Milk Product Equipment-A Guide for Evaluating Construction, FDA's Pacific Region Dairy Products Team (DPT) and CFSAN's Milk Safety Team have evaluated and validated the technical information submitted by the Pacific Region Dairy Equipment Review Committee (PRDERC) addressing the Waukesha Cherry-Burrell W262 Flow Diversion Device (1", 1 ½", 2" and 2 ½") with a high pressure adapter.
When constructed, installed, operated and maintained as outlined in the instructions of the Manufacturer's Operation and Maintenance Manual 95-03081, Revision Date July 2004, the Waukesha Cherry-Burrell W262 Flow Diversion Device (1", 1 ½", 2" and 2 ½") with a high pressure adapter has been found to comply with Item 16p(B) of the Grade "A" Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).
The technical information that was reviewed addressing the Waukesha Cherry-Burrell W262 Flow Diversion Device (1", 1 ½", 2" and 2 ½") with a high pressure adapter constitutes the PRDERC's Engineering Design and Technical Construction File (EDTCF). The material in the EDTCF is the property of the manufacturer and may be shown at their discretion.
