Pesticide Residue Monitoring Database User's Manual - List of Pesticide Names

March 2004

The list of pesticide names shown here is a cumulative and a given pesticide is not necessarily covered in all years. To conserve space, the pesticide name is truncated at 40 characters. Information on pesticide coverage and findings is expressed as a total of related residues, e.g., "DDT (total)" and "chlordane (total)." However, in cases where the analytical behavior of related residues differ significantly and therefore analytical coverage of them would differ, the residue components are expressed separately. The designation of "total*" means that while it was possible to group some of components because of their similar analytical behavior, other related components have sufficiently different behavior that they are presented separately.
