Liver-Veal Agar

Liver, infusion from50 gStarch, soluble10 g
Veal, infusion from500 gCasein, isoelectric2 g
Proteose peptone20 gNaCl5 g
Neopeptone1.3 gSodium nitrate2 g
Tryptone1.3 gGelatin20 g
Dextrose5 gAgar15 g
Distilled water1 liter


Heat with agitation to dissolve. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C. Final pH, 7.3 ± 0.2.
