BAM Media M83: Liver-Veal Agar

Bacteriological Analytical Manual

Liver, infusion from 50 g Starch, soluble 10 g
Veal, infusion from 500 g Casein, isoelectric 2 g
Proteose peptone 20 g NaCl 5 g
Neopeptone 1.3 g Sodium nitrate 2 g
Tryptone 1.3 g Gelatin 20 g
Dextrose 5 g Agar 15 g
Distilled water 1 liter

Heat with agitation to dissolve. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C. Final pH, 7.3 ± 0.2.
