BAM Media M78: Letheen Agar (Modified)

Bacteriological Analytical Manual

Letheen agar (Difco or BBL)32 g
Trypticase peptone5 g
Thiotone peptone10 g
Yeast extract2 g
NaCl5 g
Sodium bisulfite0.1 g
Agar5 g
Distilled water1 liter

Heat with agitation to dissolve agar. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C. Aseptically dispense 20 ml into 15 × 100 mm petri dishes. Final pH, 7.2 ± 0.2.
