Bacteriological Analytical Manual

|Peptone or gelysate||10 g|
|Distilled water||1 liter|
Heat with agitation and boil 1-2 min to dissolve agar. Dispense 8 ml portions into 16 × 150 mm screw-cap tubes. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C.
Final pH, 7.4 ± 0.2.
