Sporulation Broth
(for Clostridium perfringens)

Polypeptone15 g
Yeast extract3 g
Starch, soluble3 g
MgSO4 (anhydrous)0.1 g
Sodium thioglycollate1 g
Na2HPO411 g
Distilled water1 liter

 

Adjust pH to 7.8 ± 0.1. Dispense 15 ml portions into 20 x 150 mm screw-cap tubes. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C.
