|Sodium thioglycollate||1.5 g|
|CaCl2 (1% solution)||9 ml|
|Distilled water||991 ml|
Heat with agitation to dissolve dry ingredients. Cool to 50°C and add CaCl2. Adjust pH to 8.4. Dispense 7 ml portions into 9 ml screw-cap tubes and immediately steam exactly 15 min. Cool, and tighten caps.
